KNOWN: Autopop fails to appear in Outlook Web Access

Summary

Outlook Web Access does not support all of the fields of regular Outlook and does not show Add2Exchange’s autopop label

Symptom

When using the autopopulate or “autopop” feature, Outlook Web Access does not show the text in the File As field, while regular Outlook does. This is the relationship option “Place Text Before or After Subject/File As”.

Description

Add2Exchange operates correctly in this scenario, however Outlook Web Access does not read the appropriate field from Exchange when building its File As field for Contacts. OWA properly reads the subject line for Calendars and Tasks, which are not affected by this behavior.

Resolution

Microsoft has no stated plans for fixing this behavior.
