MAPI E NOT FOUND ERROR when opening PF list

Hi,

when I open the All Public Folder list I'm getting the MAPI_E_NOT_FOUND error.

Run Time Error -2147221333 (8004010f)

I've already updated the CDO (on the Add2Exchange server) to version 1.21 and Add2exchange to a2e-standard.8.3.163.149

I've reran the preinstaller on my Exchange Server (checked the Account Exists option) without any problems.
I'm running Exchange 2010 SP1 revision 270.

When I open the Add2Exchange console, no errors
But the relationships are gone.
When I try to recreate the Relationships I can choose the Relationshiptype and click select a window opens to select a "green" folder.
I can see the Public Folders and the All Public Folders, when I click on the + sign in front of the All Public Folders. I can see the Public folders and then get the Runtime error...
When I click OK the management console closes...

Re: MAPI E NOT FOUND ERROR when opening PF list

First a question:

Since you had relationships at one point, I am guessing this is a new error, correct?  What can you tell me has changed about your infrastructure between now and the time you set up your relationships?

As a sanity check, please run the CDO logon test from the free side of the Add2Exchange Toolbox.  The Toolbox is available from your desktop.  When asked what test to perform, use the public folders test.

By any chance is this a mixed 2010/2003 environment?  We have seen issues with public folders in these environments when something happens to the 2003 server, for example if it is removed from the Exchange environment.  Sometimes public folders were being served from the 2003 box even though Add2Exchange was accessing them through 2010, and the removal of the 2003 box disrupts public folders.  In this case, the relationships usually need to be rebuilt, although if you are getting a "not found", that usually means the public folders were not replicated to 2010 before 2003 was decommissioned.

Re: MAPI E NOT FOUND ERROR when opening PF list

That's a new one to me.  It looks like you may have something more than an Add2Exchange issue on your hands.

Do you have a backup from which you could restore those public folders?

Re: MAPI E NOT FOUND ERROR when opening PF list

so you have pf which are the sources or destinations or both?  what kind of relationships

if a2e was replicating , were they private to public and you are going to reset up relationships again?

Re: MAPI E NOT FOUND ERROR when opening PF list

It where public to private one way relationships
I deleted the relationships but recreated them within the same update circle.
So now I redeleted them and am waiting for this update circle to finish.

Re: MAPI E NOT FOUND ERROR when opening PF list

if it was public to private and you had info copied there tothe privates, then recreated the public folders, it may not delete the destination items, because the rels may be in alert. Is that the case?  Look to the event logs

I do have errors...
A2ESP Relationship is in Alert Public - Contacten Heens IT To SteveCop@heens-it.be - Contacts will not synchronize as there was a problem logging into the Information Store with this Account.  Please log into the A2E console to correct this situation The Source Folder: Public Folders\All Public Folders\Heens IT\Contacten Heens IT was not available

Re: MAPI E NOT FOUND ERROR when opening PF list

did you delete the old copies of the public folders or are they just inaccessible?

if they are not deleted, then run the RMM tool. If they are deleted, restore from outlook tools recover deleted items and then license and run the RMM tool.  Buy Now

Re: MAPI E NOT FOUND ERROR when opening PF list

ok, so getting the picture now

If you are replicating to non default contact folders, where all the items in the destination came from A2E relationships as copies, one (Free) way is to manually delete those items copied from those folders, recreate the relationships and let it sync.

If they are to folders where other items are made, you cant delete only the copies, but A2E Toolbox Startover can.  You will have to license this or have us do it under Remote support. ONLY do this  if you absolutely know the relationships you have now - Open the Add2Exchange Console and Help Export the setup and print it out.  Then delete all the relationships as you did already and then empty the trash from the global options. Doing this will not allow A2E to clean up after itself normally and you will have destination copied items there because of your unique situation.  Then let it run a full sync.

Then open the Console and make the same relationships again.  Be very careful to make exactly the same relationships (to the new folder) as you did before.  Then close the A2E Console, open the Toolbox and license it.  Buy Now Then run the Startover. It will remove all the copies and then use this procedure to complete.  We can do this for you if you wish: http://guides.diditbetter.com/a2e-guide/upgrade_add2exchange.htm
