Synchronizing a Blackberry to folders other than the default folders requires a bit of set up

Usually setting it to the default folder and setting filters or using the Autoplace text feature of Add2Exchange is how BB users accomplish this, but if users MUST sync to a separate folder,

This is the procedure:

BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 4.5 to 5.0

1. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
2. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager, and select Synchronize.
3. Beneath Configure on the top left, click Synchronization.
4. Click Synchronization on the Synchronization configuration menu.
5. Select Calendar, and click Advanced.
6. Click Map Folder.
7. On the left side expand your folder list.
8. Select the calendar you want to synchronize to the BlackBerry smartphone, and click Add to move it to the selected folders.

Note: Make sure that you have the proper permissions to the public calendar. If the permissions are not set properly, the synchronization process will not complete.

Syncing to Folders other than default folders in Blackberry requires connecting to Desktop Manager after relationship has been made

BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 4.1 to 4.3

To synchronize a personal calendar with a public calendar on the BlackBerry smartphone and in Microsoft Outlook, complete the following steps:

1. Connect the BlackBerry smartphone to the computer.
2. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager, and select Synchronize.
3. Click the Configuration tab.
4. Click Configure Sync.
5. Select Calendar > Choose > MS Outlook >Import.
6. Click Browse.
7. Navigate to your Folder.
8. Select Folder.
9. Click ADD.

Note: You can remove your personal calendar from the selected folders if you do not want to synchronize this folder.
