Server rename

I need to rename the server that the Add2Exchange is currently installed on.

I have already purchased the license transfer, I just need instructions on renaming the server. Note the SQL server is installed on the same server, so renaming the server will also cause the SQL instance to change.

Can someone either send me a guide, instructions or schedule a web session to help me rename the server.

I understand that you need some assistance with allowing Add2Exchange to continue to function after renaming the Windows Server which Add2Exchange is installed on.  This is a rare event which should cause minimal impact on the Add2Exchange program.  While we do not have a guide to this process, I can give you some brief direction:

Add2Exchange is very flexible, and may be controlled very easily by a series of registry keys.  In case of a server re-name, only 2 keys in the registry will be affected.   The first is affected if the Add2Exchange Application/Database Server is changed, the second if the Exchange Server is changed.  If Add2Exchange is installed directly on the Exchange Server, both would be affected.  These keys are located at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Open Door Software®\Add2Exchange\ (32 bit) or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WoW6432Node\Open Door Software®\Add2Exchange\ (64 bit).  The first key is DBServer, and this should reflect the current name of the Server Add2Exchange is located on.  The second key is referred to simply as Server, and this should reflect the name of the Exchange Server which houses the Add2Exchange Mailbox.

Changing the Server name will not affect the SQL instance within the Add2Exchange Application.
