The most common calendar disappearance reasons are when you have set the relationship rules of destination item deleted to delete the source.. and not ALL of your users know that copies should not be deleted just because they don’t want to see them. Make them aware and then this will stop happening.
Another way they may be disappearing is the items may be going back to the original time if someone changes it because of the next point.
The main issue on changes being lost is you MUST have conflict resolution set to “replace the item in the source folder” if you want to be able to have everyone edit it and update the source. Having the relationship set the way you specified below will not allow this to happen. Since this is becoming a common mistake, we just changed the interface and in the current Release Candidate, this setting automatically changes for you if you want bidirectional edits.

Everything is going well with the software except for a few syncing comflicts. Users are reporting that calendar items are disappearing after a few hours of being added. Also, contacts that have been updated (email addresses changed or phone numbers added) are losing this information after a few hours as well.
The way we have the system setup is for all users to be able to make changes, additions or deletions to any item and have these changes replicated to all users.
These are the settings I have for every calendar and contact relationship:
Conflict Resolution: Always Replace the Item in the Destination Folder
Copied Resolution: Synchronize the Changes Back to the Source Item
Source Item Deleted Resolution: Delete Destination Item
Destination Item Deleted Resolution: Delete Source Item
Can you please let me know if these settings are correct or what I can do to resolve the issue?
