Exchange 2003 to 2007 Migration
I support a customer on Exchange 2007 who has recently acquired a company that has implemented Add2Exchange in their Exchange 2003 environment.
We're on point to migrate the 2003 users into the 2007 environment in the next several weeks. Considering the number of users and the amount of data, the migration is going to phased.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to best approach this migration with respect to Add2Exchange?
Mailbox servers are clustered in the existing 2007 environment. They do have a PF database to leverage, but we're wondering if it would be best to build a stand-alone mailbox server specifically for these users.
Whether I stand up a new mailbox server or use the clustered servers to move to, if I understand what I've read through thus far, I'll need to:
1) get Exchange 2007 as up to date as required (service packs and roll up updates)
2) ensure the CDO is up to date
3) setup the Add2Exchange service account and permissions, then install the product
4) before moving mailboxes, break existing relationships, then re-establish them after the move? not clear on this..
Any advise would be greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance
